Adding Decimals – Adding decimals is simple. It’s just like adding any other numbers.
One thing you have to keep in mind is that the decimal point of the numbers to be added must be in line while adding.
The explanation page shows in example 1 how to
- Add the numbers at hundredths place
- Then add the digits at the tenths place
- Then add the units and then tens.

- Start adding the digits from the far left i.e. thousandth place and move to the right.
