Comparing Decimals:
Comparing two decimals means to check whether a decimal number is greater than, smaller than or equal to the other decimal.
Example:
- 0.2 < 0.5
- 4.2 > 1.15
- 7.01 < 7.1
- 2.9 = 2.9
Ordering Decimals:
Ordering decimal numbers mean to arrange the decimal numbers in ascending (increasing) order or descending (decreasing) order.
Example:
The following numbers are arranged in ascending order.
2.1 , 3.6, 4.01 , 4.5 , 5.8 , 5.59 , 5.709
The following set of numbers is arranged in descending order.
9.2 , 9.002 , 7.5 , 4.1 , 3.6 , 3.05 , 2.9
