Comparing and Ordering 5 and 6 Digit Numbers Printable Worksheets
These Grade 4 Maths resources and worksheets have answers also given in the downloadable links below.
We compare and order 5 and 6 digit numbers like we do smaller numbers.
Comparing two numbers means to check if the number is greater than(>), less than(<) or equal(=) to the other number.
For example:
If we have to compare 34,267 and 35,700, we say that
34,267 is less than 35,007 OR 34,267 < 35,007
Ordering a set of numbers means to arrange the numbers starting from smallest to biggest(ascending order) or from biggest to smallest(descending order).
For example:
Arrange the following set of numbers in Ascending & Descending order.
56,760 12,600 50,755 23,542 41,200
Ascending order: 12,600 23,542 41,200 50,755 56,760
Descending order: 56,760 50,755 41,200 23,542 12,600
